She would have been alive if she had not stood up: Fahim

KARACHI: Bhutto could have survived the blast if she had not stood up in her vehicle, declared the PPP’s Makhdoom Amin Fahim while speaking at a press conference. He was sitting in the back seat when she was attacked. She was shot when she stood up by her vehicle’s door. “She fell down in the seat and we thought she was unconscious. She could have survived had she been sitting,” said Makhdoom. He said the blast occurred very close to the vehicle and smashed all the windows. staff report
